Cool bar in Chennai?
I was staying at The Connemara on a business trip and decided to grab a drink at the hotel bar. Distil was very chic not at all what I expected in Chennai (am I a snob ?). Menu had a good selection of cocktails, wines and spirits. I had my usual Sula Cab Sav and my pal had his single malt. Ordered two snacks - beef yakitori and some south indian chicken starter. The chicken was ok but a bit dry. The yakitori never showed up.
Service was wonderful. They apologised for the screw up on teh food order but we had to leave so we cancelled the yakitori.
I am sure it will continue to do well. Very cool scene.
