Two of my friends were in Chennai and I had taken up the responsibility to find out a great place where we could spend a quiet evening with couple of drinks and good food. I immediately zeroed in on 9 Feet High..the thought of the ambience was too much to forgo. We landed up at this place after quite a struggle (it wasn't easy to find this place). And as seen in the photos, it was a beautiful place indeed and the proximity to the beach adds up to the beauty. The staff was friendly and they helped us getting seated at a place of our choice. (One side of the terrace facing the sea was completely off limits though...we were told that it was reserved). Then came the menu which was extensive and very promising....then came the disappointment. Each drink category had just one of the brands available and none of the premium brands were among them. We changed our order every time and the waiter had to nod his head and tell us "sorry, we do not have this".We were told that they have been out of stock since two months. Allright...we decided upon something which was available and went on to some exotic names on the starters list.Well...you guessed it...they weren't available as well !!! Too much to accept..we walked out of there.A wonderful Friday evening wasted !!
This sure is a place to look forward to in the long run with the hope that they learn from these mistakes. As for me...I am not taking chances anymore !!
