  • F3 food court a complete let down 2009-12-12

Last week i had visited the newly opened food court in ampa mall. I was looking forward for their food court but it is a complete let down. The choice of stalls are very poor. They have
    1. Curry house
    2.Wangs Kitchen
    3.Dindigul Biryani
    4.Starkes - Burger joint
    5. Jus parathas
    6.Hot chips
    7. Sizzlers
    8. Milky way
    9. La boulangerie
    10. Tatthkadu - south indian non veg joint
    11. Delasio - random Pasta joint
    12. Kailash Parbaht- yet to open
    13. Arabian hut- yet to open

the stalls are not impressive and the choice of food is neither great. I had food at Curry house and sizzlers. Let me start with curry house, the name being curry house their menu has just 4 non veg curries. I had ordered tandoori chicken , Plain naan ( which had elastic property of rubber) and Chicken makhani. Tandoori chicken was delicious but chicken makhani was just full of cream.I would rate curry house 2/5

Now to sizzlers, they had just few choices one in chicken and one in lamb and one veggie sizzler. I had a chicken sizzler and i must admit it was not that bad, portions were small but fine for Rs.110.
    rate it 3/5.

Overall the look of the food court was not appealing and neither stall representatives know what dishes to recommend to their 1st time customers. For me a food court is incomplete without a subway.

Why would have another burger joint in your food court when you already have a KFC and Mc Donalds in the mall.

Over all i would say food court at ampa is disappointing. Chennai has to go a long way to get food courts like the ones in Bangalore , Mumbai and delhi.
