i ve always wondered how saravana bhavan can maintain consistency across branches including ones that are overseas, but this one proved me wrong! i still cant believe i ate in sarvana bhavan and walked out unhappy about the quality of food. I have seen the chief usually taste the food before it goes out to public ensuring consistency, maybe he was on leave the day i went or mayb they don have one for anna nagar!
We were really hungry and after going to saravana bhavan and looking at the menu, anyone would get hungry. The menu is the same as in any other outlet, an extensive one with huge variety. We ordered kashmiri pulao, paneer biryani and gobi 65. They were all below average, nothing close to HSB quality. Kinda stale too. The appam - pal was ok types and the fried idli was too spicy. The service was reluctant as typically them.
First time regretting eating in HSB and i ve taken it as a warning to not blindly trust them anymore.
