There once used to be a chaat heaven in mylapore where as school kids, bunch of us would be there immediately after the final bell has been rung munching on delicious bhel puri, pav bhaji, masala pappad etc...
So it began the ritual of eating in Bombay Halwa House whenever we are all together and nearby and most importanly almost every single day for the next 4-5 yeards.
But like every thing else, the current Bombay Halwa House is just a pale shadow of its former glory. Neglected and poor service. And shockingly, they did not have anything to eat when we visited this place couple of days.
Apart from 2 masala pappads and roti's nothing was available. Reliving the memories of good old days, we just came back saddened at the slow, painful demise of what once used to be the best chaat place in chennai :(
