  • That's okay, we still love you.

  • Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!

  • My tharavad(home) was never so dirty !! 2009-08-25

For a long time i was very eager to go to this restaurant whose name really caught me.Tharavd in malayalam means ancestral home.
The first time i visited the place i liked it pretty much. The food was good and the service was ok. But on our subsequent visits we started discovering the disgrace it is bringing to its name tharavad.

The service is pathetic to say the least. You will be in for rude shocks if you try talking to the staff during their peak buisness hours. Even if you order a simple meal of just two items your waiting time is minimum 30-40 minutes. Sometimes they take the same time to fill a glass of water as well. yes i mean it !!!

This place is the most unhygienic restaurant i have ever been to. The place is very cramped for space, the glasses in which they serve water always always stinks. The tables are never properly cleaned. The a/c is either too cold or you are drenched in sweat.

Coming to the food. you get tired of the grevy taste, which is the same for most of the dishes you order. The fish there stinks and is very very stale (like dry fish). Once they served us egg that was spoiled which we could find out by the mere smell of it. Chicken is just Ok.

The place is moderately priced with a meal for two coasting around 250. But i rather have a simple curd and rice at home that spend even 10 paise on this !!!

    Love
    Lakshmi
