Event DetailsThe Madras Terrace House presents Smoke and Terror a photographic comment on The Bombay episode by Sudharshan, opening by Gnani Sankaran renowned Tamil writer, filmmaker, theatre activit and journalist. Sudharshan went to Mumbai, wanting to explore the world of people and places through photography. He started working with a freelance photographer, and has ever since been inside studios capturing frames of fashion, industries, and definitely people. His views on media and photography have been influenced by these walls. His passion was ignited by the unfortunate Mumbai terror episode. However, having no media assignment to fulfill, Sudharshan had the freedom to use the medium, which has now framed a critique of the medium itself. Smoke and Terror, are the first of his photographic commentaries, which attempts to use photography as not a literal medium, which teaches people with what they see, but as an interpretative form.
