Event Details
A play based on the story written and performed by comic monologist Josh Kornbluth, about Citizen Josh. It all began in 1980, when Josh was ready to graduate from Princeton. Now, a quarter of a century later, he tracks down his old advisor, intent on completing his thesis, which is on the subject of democracy. Political theory eventually draws him into the real world of politics. U.S.-based Kornbluth has toured abroad with his monologues, usually comic explorations of events based on personal experience. He has also acted in several films and starred in a television show. This play is a tale that blends electoral history with stories from the civil rights movement and academia. It is supported by the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai.
