They only serve mineral water 2010-09-30
The owner says there is no good water available in that area, so they only serve mineral water and that too only Qua which is like 150 bucks. People are not stupid you know. I'm sure you can get can water delivered to your place. Water should be free.
I don't want to even get started on the waiters....I just want to say that they are just not trained and its the managements responsibility to do that. But I dont think the management cares!
So guys if you just wanna sit and look at the beach and wait forever for a drink and pay the earth, this is your place!!!! -

Went with little expectations after reading reviews here. Should have known better!
The guy who took our order was a total noob.
There was absolutely no complementary snacks.
They took half an hour to get us a pack of cigarettes, saying there was no stock!!
Hiphop was the only music they played. And that just didnt go with a roof top setting.
The cocktails we had looked and tasted very amateurish. Seemed like they got a lot of trainees working there.
On the bright side, this place has a lot of potential to become one of the top clubs in the city. -

At the fag end of the resort Tangy is 9 feet high. It has around 8-10 tables outside, on the lawn and from where one could get a good view of the sea. The ambience outside is chilled out. They have tables inside as well, which resemble a typical neat restaurant look.
We ordered a few drinks including a cocktail 'Hot Lips' which was very bad. Assuming that we had ordered the wrong cocktail, we went by the waiters recommendation & picked the barman's special which was very mediocre again. TERRIBLE! 2010-07-19
Though it's nice to have a place to just chill at looking at the sea, having a beer, the management ensures they ruin the experience for you. They're sitting on a potential goldmine, that if run well, could be one of Chennai's most popular hangout spots.
Drinks menu is limited and a more qualified bartender would do them good, who can up the standards of the drinks. So let's just say we settle for some Kingfishers.
