Annalakshmi chennai has moved to a better location and the ambience is great!. The new address is at 18/3 Rukmani lakshmipathy road (Marshalls road) adjacent to Rani meyyammai hall Egmore. They have introduced Annalakshmi - Swayamwara Buffet dining. -

Hello,
i visited the place some 4 times, but loved the service to the customers,the food, its quality, and the items in the menu. The flavours of the food itself will make us eat in huge amount,. The place is quiet, but decorations are different, cost may be bit costly, but worth giving the money for the food and our privacy over thr is gr8.But really we have to book the tables before we arrive, as they allow only limited number of people per time (like lunch,dinner or breakfast). Try once n u will feel what i said is true... -

Annalakshmi is a place to dine only for the well-informed. One needs to be aware that - the food will be fabulous on taste, but rich and quite heavy. The food can cost around 500-600 per head. In my book, it is worth it, but then one needs to know this before hand
Annalakshmi is operated by a trust that is based outside India. Its a Mutt - and their volunteers act as the waiters. Needless to add, it is purely vegetarian. It is said that the Thali meal's menu changes every day and the same menu gets repeated only after two months!!

OMG OMG OMG AWESOME!!! 2009-08-13
Itz an experience... run by some non profit (very expensive lol) trust. People serving the food there could b anyone form a doc to a lawyer. Some sort of a voluntary service. But thatz not the point!!! The food- OMG OMG OMG is yummmmmmmmmmmm. The bill rapes ur wallet for vege food, but the food- itz simply AWESOME! Nothing comes near it. I thought "Southern Spice" at the Taj Coromandel was the best, but this is even better. -
