  • Next to Perfection 2011-11-15

If you’re looking for a place which is a brilliant mix of wonderful food, hospitality and ambience then Azulia is the destination. Azulia is a beautifully lit place perfect for fine dining or a date.
The restaurant caters to all taste buds and bringing in cuisines from around the world. The day I went there was a German lady playing the Saxophone. I was overwhelmed by the hospitality of the staff.
I, being a hardcore vegetarian was delighted to see a lot of options in the menu. I asked the Chef for his recommendation as there was a Greek food festival going on. Yoghurt and rice(Supa Mi

Azulia had a Greek food festival going on and we decided to pay a visit and try out the Mediterranean fare. This was my first time at a proper Mediterranean restaurant and so I decided to ask the Chef and the Staff to help me out with choosing what to eat.

Azulia has a very extensive collection of wines and other liquor. We ordered a young red wine, Azagador, which the manager said would go lovely with our food. He was right. Next up we were served with the soups. I had ordered the Coto Supa Me Side(a simple Chicken and vermicelli soup) which was just warm enough and thankfully not scaldi

  • Best HangOut! 2011-01-26

I've been to this place couple of days back and trust me, the ambience was just awesome... There were music playing around...with some brazilian numbers, utmost soothing..

The servers were kind enough, the service..was also affable.. Not much of delay after placing order....

However, food is quite expensive...THough slightly on the higher end... But its worth it!

  • Best Restaurant in Chennai 2010-02-16

Azulia is now officially my favourite restaurant in Chennai.

For authentic cuisine from the Mediterranean belt, this is the place. There are a lot of other restaurants in the city that serve a hummus, a falafel, perhaps even a shwarma, but ask someone familiar with the authentic taste of the cuisine and they will tell how far these knock offs are from the real taste.

Azulia maintains the authenticity in the flavours wonderfully. The meat is imported and exceptionally well tended to. The steaks are splendid, the sauces are sophisticated yet subtle and classy.

    The service

  • Top class 2010-02-15

We have been to Azulia about five times, and been totally happy every time. I have been there mostly just with my wife, but we have ended up every time to leave it to the chef to decide what to eat - so you don't need to have a big group to do that.

Food is first class, ambiance nice, service as good as in a family operation (doesn't feel at all like a hotel restaurant), prices reasonable for quality.

And yes, tastes are authentic. Not spoiled by adjusting to "Indian palate".

  • Pricey but gooood food!! 2009-10-21

Azulia is one of those places you should come to rip off a friend for a treat :D
Expensive but the menu is authentic and untouched by garam masala. The dishes sound alien to those who haven't been around the mediterranean but the chef and host are reallly helpful.
The best part is their decision to keep only vegetarian lasagne on the menu and it is lip-smacking. The moussaka is yummmmmm and so are their desserts.
The venue is tastefully decorated with refreshing paper towels as a welcome. We were out on a night with 2 Colombian singers performing and inviting audience participation.

  • Let Chef Chahine pick for you 2009-07-30

This place is one of the sort where you get your best meal when you're in a large group .. that way you can just leave it to Chef Chahine to choose for you. If there are no vegetarians in your party .. well, as he says, "that makes it easier".

Try their mixed grill platter - tender lamb that flakes off the bone and melts in your mouth. chicken that is crisp and moist, with a lovely smoky flavor .. beef and pork too if you want it.

I especially recommend the duck sausages that come in with the starters. Along with a few rather inventive looking takes on plain old hummous,
