Are they running a charity? 2009-11-06
The service is really bad, the service person or the caretaker (only one person who supervises the things over there) over there thinks that he is running a charity, always sporting a grim face, Non responsive to the orders we give..
The parathas were decent.
Nothing more to write, Just that, please dont expect any hospitality in this place, else you will be in for a rude shock..

Well something must be good about a place? 2009-10-21
Bombay Talkies inaugurated with a lotsa hype sometime bak and wen i went to this place, i was totally disappointed at first site. Its a small room with 4 or 5 tables (ppl sharing it) and almost always crowded with no space to wait but in between two tables (of course watchin other ppl eat with so much frustration makes them leave sooner). The service is very immature i shud say, even in road-side joints we can find more courtesy. The ONLY and trust me the only waiter there... is the manager (owner?) himself, who gets irritated at customers who open the door for too long or ppl who are not ready... read more -

A very normal menu consisting of chat and the regular southindian food. The chat is good and the dosa variety is pretty interesting. One of my personal favourites is the dose with green chutney base with stuffed vegetables. It was pretty good. The owner of the place is very nice and serves food with a big smile. the service and the hospitality just makes the food so much better. -

Well, if poori and chapatti is not being served in Chennai, tthen yes. We went over for lunch yesterday, the place was clean and the food was simple and straightforward. the waiter offered us the poori meals or the chappati meals.
the assembled meal was simple - curd rice, pulav, chappati,raita, dal, papad and pickle. to me it struck as a blend of a bachelors attempt at making a cuisine meal and a professional attempt at that.
