good food, very very average service.
The best part of the visit is the taste of the food. the worst part is the service (you have to remind two to three times for serving water and tissues too). I really got annoyed at such a service after waiting too long to get seated (this is the second worst part). We loved the pastas and lassagne we had (a must try) but m not sure if price is worth the wait and service though worth the taste. Any suggestions on where i could to try good continental food (just pastas and lassagnes will do for me) without long wait and poor/slow service ? let me know. till then guess dont hve a choice but to please... read more -

Legend in Besant Nagar
A very popular place among adyar and bezant nagar people, I love the spaghetti pasta in here. The Indian items are also very nice. The waiting time is of course very long since the place is pretty small but I think the food is worth the wait. But some people feel the place is overrated, maybe now that many other places have come up in this area. But Eden will always remain a legend in Besant Nagar among family diners. -

Average Fare - Below average service
Well, this is an average fare - food and price, ambiance (this is a big downer) and service rather the attitude sucks. They can certainly improve.
The biggest irritant is that they all start looking at the watch if you land towards the end of a session. This is typical of an old restaurant where the staff is too old to be questioned.
Must improve on the attitude towards the customers who have nurtured them for such a long time.
I shall keep going back to them for average good and average service till it drops below acceptable.

Don't go by the name
It's not even close to being as beautiful as its namesake place, its always extremely crowded, the wait is irritating, the food extremely average, there are about a 1000 other places in chennai serving the same type of food and it's not even economically priced. There is no ambience........its like an overly crowded dinign hall in a house.......Definitely can be missed.
However, dont miss the Pan/Kulfi downstairs in the small shop......much better and totally worth the price when compared to the food and ambience upstairs
