Excellent Eatout 2011-09-04
Visited this place in search of good gujarati thali and surely met up to expectations (esp after struggling to find it). Extremely courteous staff who take care of all the customers visiting the place. Simple food and extremely light on the pocket.
Kindly note that there is another place listed on Burrp with the name "Poonam's Gujarati Bhojanalaya"... Both refer to the same place.. -

Authentic Gujarati Food 2010-02-21
Simply the best Gujarati food you could get in Chennai. Me & my wife were wondering whether to try Gujraj food fest or try Gujarati mandal. We are happy about the choice we made. Do try Shrikand and Aamras other than the 3 subji's they give along with the thali.Would recommend this place defenitely for youngsters with good appetite. -

The place we would love to have closer to home 2009-10-22
We were introduced to this place by a vegetarian friend of ours. Being hard core meat eaters, we dismissed the notion of going to any vegetarian joint let alone one in Broadway!!
The place is a small, teeny joint but very clean. Its always packed and only open for a few hours for lunch and a few hours for dinner. Our meal usually goes like this - unlimited rotis (we normally have about 12-14 each they re so light), 4 subjis which are constantly refilled, some green chillies, aam ras and shri kand with a bottle of coke to wrap it up.
