Taste of Kerala ,truly mind blowing 2011-08-19
Been traveling outside Kerala for quite some years now and has been very skeptical about taking the food from Kerala styled restaurants .But to my amusement the Lunch served in kalpaka is the best Kerala restaurant food that I had taken in recent times. The More curry and Beef fry and Veg lunch can be the signature item at kalpaka .Hats off guys . -

Unpretentious and good food! 2010-12-16
A nice joint. Strictly for takeways only. Do not be put off by the devil-may-care attitude of the steward. Just order your stuff and wait. Beef Syrian Fry is the best there. The kerala paratha is awesome as well! Try the Chilli Beef. I found the fish curry/chicken curry to be pretty average. No parking, so I skip my car, take the scooter, and take way something packed. Easy on the pocket too! -

Amateurish !!! tortoise service !!! 2010-10-25
I've heard good things about this place and thought to give a try.
1st time when we went, ok service was slow, we thought we entered on a wrong day. Food was OK, more or less like home made with less masala nothing special to comment. Ambience was cool, nice sitting. Few of my friends also didn't get a good taste that time.
2nd time we went and things were even horrible.. it was very amateurish,
-I said we are in a group and will be great if we sit together... but reply was like, if u want sit some where, eat something and go like !!

True to the spirit of Mallu land for all the beef lovers. The beef fry is refreshingly authentic, so are the curries and the appam. A must must visit. The place does not have adequate parking , so take away is the best option. -
