hygiene in chennai restaurants 2012-04-20
we have had similar experiences in different restaurants at chennai and we finally came to a conclusion that chennaites dont have high standards of hygiene. this is what all the north indians forced to stay in chennai think ! -

Authentic chinese food 2012-04-02
Tried the buffet in Mainland China. It was good and it is a must try for all the chinese food lovers.....The ambiance was good but felt a little bit cramped...I must surely mention about their service which was really good and quick....Overall the dining experience was good.... -

Authentic Chinese food but lacking in ambience 2012-03-06
Probably one of the few restaurants in the city serving good authentic Chinese food. However the ambiance leaves much to be desired. The tables are arranged in what seems like a large dinning area with closely placed tables with no partitions. It gets very noisy during busy hours since the walls echo quite a bit. A little alcohol could help alleviate these little inconveniences but they don't have a lisence yet.
Bottom-line, Best Chinese food in town if you can overlook the other factors. -

Not worth remembering! 2012-02-12
My Mom and me went there today ie 12.02.2012 and opted for the buffet and it started out well. We were first served a Mock-tail and starters at the table. Then I found a Hair in my starter. In the babycorn and mushroom starter to be precise. When we informed the staff about the hair in the food they were adamant that there can't be hair in the food and looked at me like I was trying to deface them for some personal vendetta. Then when they saw the hair they immediately took the plate and many of them huddled around it staring at it. I was given a new plate and more fresh starters.
