  • Advertising of 50% OFF is to attract people Sep 18, 2012

    I agree with your comment of advertising to fool people. This doesnt happen only with Metro. It also happens in all other shoe mall. the rate will be too high. So that when the customer ask for 50% it will come to original rate.

    why this type of business ehitcs for which thet dont want to put that %OFF at all

    At Bata, it is too bad like only old shoes and shoes which are not sold for years wll be kept for 50 % sale.

    I visited this showroom on 07/07/2012. There were two service staff who were standing at the entrance, chatting. They were obviously not engaged and the showroom was quite empty too. I asked one of them for the casual shoe section and he pointed towards the rack. I enquired about one pair of shoes, to which he came, mentioned the price and went; didn't bother to check my size, what I am looking for, nothing! I then walked to another rack and called for him, expecting him to come and assist me. But he was not bothered and just shouted the price of one of the shoes I was holding from where he stood.... read more

    there was an Ad on the new papers about the Flat 50% Sale happening in Metro Stores in Chennai... As lot of other people in the city i also went there hoping to get a good deal... My wife chose two sandals and jus when we went for the billing, the guy said this is not on Sale... and only a few shoes/sandals which were put on the center of the shop are on Sale...

    I don't understand what it means by "Flat 50% Discount"... Also if there was only a few items on Sale... why advertise as Flat 50% Sale...
