  • over hyped 2011-03-19

Went to this place to give a treat after reading all the reviews here and was a so-so experience overall...as in the previous comment, the afghani chicken was not up to the mark, i've tasted better and it was too pricy with 4 small pieces for 180/- which could not even satisfy a single person's hunger...the service was really poor with the waiting time around 15-30 mins...food was ok but quantity was very less...had to order atleast 5 times to fill our stomachs completely...the bill came around 1350/- for 5 persons so I won't call it "cheap"...better avoid!

  • HORRIBLE!! 2011-03-18

Bad food, bad quality, long waiting times and to top it all off, bad music in the background.. we decided to visit this place after reading the reviews on Burrp, but it turned out to be one of our worst experiences.

The Afghan chicken is just about average and in no way lives up to its "hype". jus 4 measly pieces of chicken wid a few spices for 180 bucks.. ( it jus screams "RIP OFF"). We had ordered shawarmas and they were served on qaboos that was easily 4-5 days old and I really dont know how, but they managed to get paper in between the filling and the qaboos...

  • great Afghani chicken 2009-09-25

the afghani chicken i had here was too good.the spices were really playing with my taste buds.
the down-point was the earthen pot biriyani.it lacked spice though the method was authentic as stated by another visitor below.
service is good. ambience is good.
go there to try their kebabs and afghani chicken, but if you dont want to be disappointed, avoid ordering the dum biriyani

Living very close to this restaurant makes me a frequent visitor there!! The tandoori dishes are awesome and have the right amount of masala added and are perfectly marinated!! Man chatti (earthern pot) biryani is a let down though! Although their method of preparation is authentic, the biryani as a whole lacks spice or strong flavour of any sort. Tandoori Bakra is a must have!! Do go in a big group of very hungry non veggies!! They are a bit stingy with the pieces in any gravy though!! For e.g. I had Chicken tikka masala today and there were exactly 4 pieces with tons of gravy!! Desserts are good... read more
