  • Amazing - Chinese Food 2010-11-14

We shopped vouchers at Snapdeal and were at MFJ to taste their Chinese food. Being our first visit we were surprised looking at the huge space that the restaurant was put up at. Bright lights, clean air, high sealing with facts and photos was welcoming. Now for the food, starting with the Chicken corn soup that was just as it was supposed to be was hot and tasty. For the starters we had Chicken Lollipop and Drums of Heaven.. The Drums of Heaven I must admit was the best i had ever tasted. The sauce was perfect and the chicken was so juicy, we finished it in no time.. The Noodles and Fried Rice... read more

My second review on a place I’m very fond of:

Ambience is something I’ve already spoken about.

Food is what I’m most interested in. MFJ has introduced some really nice additions to their Chinese & North Indian menus. The Chinese kitchen now offers some very interesting sea food dishes, a Chinese combo & the North Indian kitchen offers some great sabzi & non vegetarian side dishes.

    PROs:

    - I loved the Amritsari fish. I’m a huge fan of fish & this one was just perfect..it was spicy & super yummy! If you didn’t know, amritsari fish is fish dipped in a batte

  • The Mumbai that never was... 2010-07-05

I had not written a review on this place, thinking it is not worth one. But after seeing some essay writing competitions on this place, I decided to write a review.
Me and my wife were here for a evening snack after seeing reviews on burrp. Expectations were high as I had always loved the chaat and vada paav from Mumbai and Pune. But the samosa chaat and vada paav we had were little short of awful. I could only think of the vada paav from Mumbai with the garlic chutney and fried chillies, which I could have limitless quantities and leave this awful stuff half eaten.

A mumbaiite would like any restaurant dedicated to his favourite city. A true one like me would analyse the place well & be assured that it's doing justice to Mumbai's reputation :)

I was here a couple of days ago with 2 of my friends for lunch. MFJ is quite spacious & is a food court. Unlike other food courts, servers come to your table to take down your order. There's also a large screen playing a bollywood channel. Ambience is nice. Mario Miranda cartoons on the walls, color, good seating..very pleasant ambience.

    We had:
a combo of chicken biriyani with egg & raita
