Really awesome chutneys

One of my favorite haunts is Murugan Idli Shop...At times they misfire on the idli's. It's either too soft or to pulchied...but somehow they always get their chutneys right...all together their food is good and for the rate you pay its definitely value for money. I have tried their dosa's which may not be the best in town but it sure is good. Been to a few Murugan Idli's around Chennai and they all are pretty consitent and good.

AWESOMESTEST!!! :D

After the much hyped Chennai Times Pongal Vadai Contest results were out, we decided to chk out the top 10 places and I have to say these guys in T.Nagar have the best Vadai's in town...!!!
I had Idli, Vadai and Ghee Roast Dosa and I loved them all.
I fell in love with the sambar here and was wondering if I could marry it if possible!! :P
Well, jokes apart, the service was fast, the waiters courteous, and the prices were decent. The place itself was generally neat and tidy.
I would definitely come back here as many times as possible.

All hype no stuff!

I was taken aback having eaten here after years! Seeing the popularity of it on burrp! and even otherwise everyone wantin to try it out more than HSB now wen they come to chennai! I mean HSB deserves the name this place sure doesnt!

At 8 30 in the morning, the Vadas were not hot and fresh, seemed from yday. Big and bulky, not crisp at all. And 15 bucks for it is day-light robbery just for the brand name! Pulicha [sour] idlis & Cockroaches

This is not the first time we have been to Murugan Idli Kadai [MIK] but with this it surely will be the last. Let me give you the specifics:
We went as a group of seven people (my folks) after a niece's arangetram at krishna gana sabha. There was a 15 minute waiting time to get a table and we stood outside savouring the smell of the overflowing sweage from MIK's kitchens.
