    I have been an Andhra food fanatic (more precisely pappu / spicy Andhra dal fanatic) since my college days. All those visits to the Andhra Mess(s) with friends around West Mambalam are still a fresh memory. Time to time I would visit New Andhra Meals Hotel (T-nagar), Amaravati (Cathedral Road / OMR) or Sri Datta Mess (5 lights Mambalam) to revive those memories. Recently when I moved to Anna Nagar all my favorite Andhra meals hotels suddenly became VERY distant.
