Keep a close eye on Nawaz Dharbar Biryani 2011-01-07
Was just browsing through burrp and thought of sharing my experience with Nawaz Dharbar.
I'm a Bengali guy living with my family very close to Nawaz Dharbar.
Never wanted to try their biryani for quite some time.
Unfortunately we invited few of our friends for a small get-to-gether after Newyear eve.
We ordered Mutton biryani, Chicken biryani, tandoori breads and chicken chettinad from Nawaz Dharbar.
Mind you we found small cockroaches in 3 of the mutton biryani packets which we ordered to be home delivered.

I wont be back 2011-01-06
I went with two co-workers for lunch today at Nawaz Dharbar Velachery and we voted never to return. The food was just okay but the terrible service drove us crazy. The employees are quick to sit you down but then immediately forget about you while they talk, play, and perform routine tasks.
I had to ask three times to have my water glass filled. When you are on company time this place is not “the place” to be as your hour lunch will suddenly become dangerously close to two hours.

Consistent Quality in Biryani 2010-01-10
I've ordered biryani from this place over 10 occasions like parties, festivals etc. (over 2 kgs/ padis). Their quality is very consistent. They serve one of the best Muslim Biryani in town. Their price is also not bad - Rs.1100 per padi for Mutton Biryani. Their chicken 65 is also good. Just ask for extra raitha & brinjal curry. -
