Hyderabadi Biriyani 2012-04-28
I am always on the lookout for authentic biriyani in Chennai and am often disappointed with the 'fried rice' we usually end up with in restaurants (even is so called speciality restaurants). Serendipity and I went into Palki one day (a huge hoarding with a picture of a plate of Biriyani, announcing the introduction of Hyderabadi food, helped as well) - and was thrilled (close to my house!!) by an authentic tasting and excellent Hyderabadi Biriyani they served. Not so impressive 2012-04-04
My hubby and me, visited Palki on 21st of March 12 for dinner after a long beach walk. We ordered for some Roti and Dhal for main course... The food was ok.. But the service was Aweful.. you don't have even tissue papers in the table... if you ask... he will get you one or two...
more than that... the TV program was too bad... better they would have switched off that.. the old hindi movie song was nice for that environment... no need for TV...
The total experience was too bad... -

Pretty good place 2011-02-21
Went nearly thrice to this place and I dont have any complaints about the food.
Service is OK. Not that good. We went as a group of 10, and I could see most of us were complaining about the service alone.
Ambience needs to be improved a little.
Another good thing is, they serve beer. So, its a definite try place. -

The food was just ok for the very high price.
the place needs to be renovated as there are cracks and black marks all over.
service was not the best and not really a place to visit again. -
