Consistency is the name of the game..v inviting 2012-03-12
this restaurant is from the famous coimbatore based Sri Krishna Sweets shop...specializing in the kongunadu ethnic vegetarian delicacies...something a unique and interesting experience to cherish on a relaxed evening soaked in minimal but elegant ambience.
They have started a joint in the premises of SKS on Venkatanarayana Road. Its truly a fine dining joint -

Sweet surprise 2010-04-14
To be honest, we had gone to this place for lunch with nil expectations. Guess what? we had a sweet surprise. To start with, the thali we ordered was so comprehensive that we could, with lot of effort managed to complete it. It was not only tasty but was also free of oil and unwanted spices. Full value for money, better than Saravana Bavan. Please dont forget to have tender coconut payasam and mushroom fry.
Its a must try!!!. -

Just another south indian restaurant 2009-07-23
Nothing much to brag about, food is just about average (u can get the same taste & quality in any other hotel). Not impressed with the food, however hotel atmosphere was good. It was ok for a one time visit, I wouldn't be going there again though!!, they have priced the food as if they are a star restaurant - really not worth the money, seriously not upto the mark. -

I was enamored by the recommendation given by my wife; and also had the reinforcement from the Femina writeup about this restaurant.
Definitely, its worth a visit and savour the delicacies of Kongunadu. It is indeed situated in serene environment of Old Bungalow, of yester years, on the top of Sri Krishna Sweets.
Food: excellent, consistently across the starters( Vadai), soup( Nellikkai Charu), Main Course( Vonndu Saatham, Mani Karam, Appam), Dessert( Ileneeru Payasam: heavenly indeed)
