Bad taste, bad food 2012-04-19
Keeping Triplicane branch Ratna cafe in mind i have tried several times in velachery. But every time they fall short of expectations.. thier sambar has some powder kind of feel, all the food served doesnt look hygenic. -

Breakfast 2012-04-12
Had my breakfast today (12.4.2012) at Ratna Cafe, Velachery. Two dull idlis, a puny and oily medhuvada and a cup of bitter coffee..... all for an astronomical Rs.68/- (plus tips) in the non-a/c section! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TASTE IDLIS / VADAS HERE!! -

I have been to restaurants of diff style in diff country.But worst of all these is this .Food are bad in quality and high in prices.If any one want not to go to hotels go here and after that u will not try any hotel.Worst -

ADDING TO THE DUMP.. 2010-01-11
Well, i just happened to read these reviews for Ratna Cafe, and i thought i ll add to the dump.
The last time i went there(now dont ask me why), there was this toilet stink(still makes me feel yuck..!) that hit me as we entered the A/C hall. The food is overpriced, predictable, and tastes just okay. The idli/sambar though, is the saving grace, though not enough to be their trademark or USP as they claim it to be. The service is poor, to be very kind to them.
Now, why do we still go there ? Coz, its the only branded veg restaurant in Velachery, as the others have also pointed out.... read more -
