  • Good food. not so good service and ambience 2012-03-29

Food spread and ambience is decent. The service and overall sense of occasion- not quite there. The waiters are tardy and could do with some more training as good and professional hosts. I expect waiters to be a little more interactive, especially with the drinks menu. I dont think they are well versed with that. The overall atomosphere seemed lazy. Basically I missed the 'prestige' and 'professional' feeling. Food is good. Soup was bad. Complimentary starters were egg bajji. this is consistent with most buffets. • Salad, dessert & space are Short 2010-03-14

Ajeet gave us a treat for the new car he got. What makes me give a 4star is Beer is served in the restaurent & the company was good. The food & Ambience would be a 3star primarily because there no space to move around. Also the spread is limited for the price paid. Service is good (Friendly people)

I had the veg biriyani, pasta, paneer butter masala, malai kofta and naan. My parents did not like the non veg dishes barring the biriyani. The fish kababs was not done properly and had a raw smell. The chicken and the mutton dishes were also not good. The biriyani though was good. I need to give a special mention

  • Vegetarian's day out 2009-03-22

Every quarter we are on the lookout for a restaurant which can accommodate 40 of us from our office for a team lunch.

We make it a point that the restaurant is not repeated from our previous lunches and we start googling with search strings like "Chennai 3 star to 5 star hotel" buffet "400-500" kinds and when we were fishing for places, someone comes up and tells the old Residency at T.nagar is renovated and there is a restaurant called Spice Jar which has replaced the Ahaar.

A quick call to the hotel and the helpful receptionist forwards the call to the manager and after
