Welcome to Tuscana, a classic wood fired pizzeria created by Vipin Sachdev and Chef Willi to bring you the very best of thin crust pizzas, pastas, bruschetta and panna cottas. The name Tuscana is a made up name, based on the Latin word Tuscania and the Italian Toscana, describing a region in Italy that is a major hub for the production of pecorino cheese, cannellini beans, olives and olive oils plus Chianti wines. Florence, or Firenze in Italian, is the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to some of the most impressive and celebrated art works in Italy – just like our pizzas that are very much a creation of art! I have eaten at Tuscana often and always loved their food. Their thin crust Italian Pizza is delicious and their service is perfect. I also enjoy their Tiramasu. However the last time we went in a group of about twenty to participate in a Pizza making activity their marketing team put together for kids between 5 -14. And this was an incredible experience for the kids, they loved it making their Pizzas rolling the dough adding their topping putting it into the oven the oven and out. Slow service! May 15, 2013

Ate at Tuscana for dinner a week ago with a couple of colleagues. While the food was excellent as always, we had to wait 20 minutes before anyone offered us water or a menu. It took another 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. The food arrived quite soon after we ordered, so that's not the hold up. Great food is no excuse for sloppy and slow service!

I had loved Tuscana, the previous few times I had been there, I quite enjoyed the food, and the service was good as well. But I don't know whether the poor service I experienced the last time was just a one-off or has become the norm now.

I have been too finicky about good service, but I definitely notice when the service is quite bad. I have never seen an upscale restaurant, one that charges quite an exorbitant amount, demonstrate the kind of indifference and bad service it did that evening.

Great food, service could be better Dec 08, 2009

Tuscana Pizzaeria is the new addition to Chennai’s international genus of restaurants. The décor is tastefully done, with an option to sit in outdoor setting. But the tables are laid so close to each other making it impossible to have a peaceful conversation, so much so you can you hear the slurping from neighboring tables, which destroys the whole purpose of fine-dining. Uncomfortable is the word.
