    Ate at Tuscana for dinner a week ago with a couple of colleagues. While the food was excellent as always, we had to wait 20 minutes before anyone offered us water or a menu. It took another 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. The food arrived quite soon after we ordered, so that's not the hold up. Great food is no excuse for sloppy and slow service!

    I had loved Tuscana, the previous few times I had been there, I quite enjoyed the food, and the service was good as well. But I don't know whether the poor service I experienced the last time was just a one-off or has become the norm now.

    I have been too finicky about good service, but I definitely notice when the service is quite bad. I have never seen an upscale restaurant, one that charges quite an exorbitant amount, demonstrate the kind of indifference and bad service it did that evening.

    The first time I came here, I was a little ticked off by the attitude of the person at the reception. We'd made a reservation for 8:00PM and we arrived at 8:15PM. Fifteen minutes "late"?! He made us feel very unwelcome and said that we if we make a reservation we should be on time. What is this - college? The food however was delicious and the rest of the staff made us feel comfortable. The pizzas are authentic and the desserts and drinks are delicious!

  • No Better place for Pizza Apr 03, 2013

    Pizza Heaven. This is the only place I think of, whenever I think of Pizza. Being a meat lover, I love the different ingredients used in the Pizzas. However since many of my friends prefer chicken, and there are only two pizzas on the menu with Chicken ( Ruspante and Americana) I sometimes have to go along. Not that I am complaining but it would be nice to see more chicken introduced.

    Special Mention to their Tiramisu. Its one of the best desserts in the city at present. Great job Vipin and Co.

    Tuscana has a special place in my heart and tummy owing to the Romano pizza and the lovely tomato basil sauce they use in their pastas. I've been here often with my friends, office colleagues & family, and rue the high price which prevents me from going as often as I'd like. Their home delivery is also very reliable, albeit a bit slow, and my pizza always arrives hot and delicious. The Pannacotta is the one dessert I would recommend here.

  • Worst Service Ever Mar 19, 2013

    The delivery service is simply atrocious at this place. I mean, if they can't deliver, then don't. As simple as that. It took the guy more than two hours to get to my place. And this after I complain to their manager. The food is barely edible as well. I think I've learned my lesson, and will never order from here ever again. And I will encourage my friends to head to other restaurants in Chennai, and not to think about ordering or even heading to this place to eat. Ridiculous.

    I have eaten at Tuscana often and always loved their food. Their thin crust Italian Pizza is delicious and their service is perfect. I also enjoy their Tiramasu. However the last time we went in a group of about twenty to participate in a Pizza making activity their marketing team put together for kids between 5 -14. And this was an incredible experience for the kids, they loved it making their Pizzas rolling the dough adding their topping putting it into the oven the oven and out.     About till 6 months back, for a year or so, this was one of my fav. pizzerias in the city- so much so that I would eat there about once in 3-4 weeks...Visited the place today after 6 months and was utterly disappointed. The Risotto costs about 700 Rs and it was bleh...like meh and bleh...the rice was cooked well but the rest of the dish wasn't up to the mark(tasted a bit like tomato rice without the spices). The pizza was okay, but the sun-dried tomatoes didn't taste like sun-dried tomatoes...The lasagna was a huge let down...They seem to have reduced the quantity of soup as well...The panna cotta... read more

    I went with my family to tascana as a late celebration of my parents wedding day..nd we jus loved it!!!
    the food is mindblowing...the best place in the city for italian food i think!!!
    their famous wood fire pizzas really live up the hype. the flavour is just too good and the tirmisu in the mind was just so sumptuous!!!!
    my fav restraunt nd hope to visit again real soon!!
