it did creep me and my friends out a wee bit with their music initially which they soon corrected to a more sane choice..
Food was impeccable and the energy plus dinner( non veg) comes highly recommended and was worth every bit of the moola..
the staff was so perfect. when my call got cut while asking for directions they called back( who ever does that these days!) and was exceptionally sweet.. and more over they managed to balance on the thin line of being there to take your order all the time without being one bit intrusive... 5 stars for a picture perfect service!
and loved the decor in spite of the billy graham pics.. frankly speaking only thing that stops my from a 5 star is the religious tone of the place, but that's just me! and like i said food is mmmmmmm!!( even veg!!)

Chennai's first Inspirational Cafe - JC's is the Cafe for all times. Tucked away in a cozy corner off busy Nungambakkam High Road, JC's Cafe is the place to hit when you have plenty of time on your hands - with friends, family or just alone.
The tastefully decorated fresh green rooms, comfortable furniture and plenty of literature to browse through... JC's is so refreshingly different. And the food is amazing, served fresh, in generous proportions - and so tasty too!
JC's surely is one place you'll want to visit again and again...

I've just been here once... but was very pleasently suprised. It's an amazing place to just chill and laze around on a hot (very hot) Chennai day. I was in the neighbourhood and stopped by for some breakfast! Good value for money... make sure you ask for the breakfast combo menu.
In 110/- the following was included;
-A glass of fresh fruit juice
-A fruit plate
-Sausages (non veg of the day)
-A good fluffy omlette
-Toast
-Tea/ south Indian coffee
for a little more you could also get cornflakes etc etc.
So overall... good break from the usual idli/ vada/ dosa breakfast! And nice cool ambience, friendly staff.
Would definately drop in... the next time I'm in Nungambakkam!

Two reasons for checking out this place: (a) Reviews by fellow burrp’ers and (b) its close to my office.
The first question on seeing this place was ‘Whoa! This is good real estate.. whats a non descript café doing here?’ Of course, then comes the missionary back ground and things fit onto place.
The interiors are pistachio green and furniture a mix of plane Jane diners and a sofa set. It was after office hours and I crashed on the sofa. They had some good reading material and lot of biblical literature. They had nice gospel music playing. ‘Its South (U.S) so the lyrics are good’ I was told. Oh, like ah? I thought.
I began chatting up the owner and ordered my food. I ordered a club sandwich and lasagna.
Club Sandwich – the menu screamed ‘tough to handle’ or something like that. ‘Good’ I thought. I was hungry and nice portions were welcome. But what came was a disappointment. Though the French fries were good (non oily), the sandwich in itself was pretty ordinary. A club sandwich is well…. a CLUB sandwich! Mammoth volumes of fillings with an evenly toasted exterior is what a clubbie is – not three toasted slices with mid some filling’s! Was’nt too happy.
Chicken Lasagna – Remember that last ball six that Javed Miandad hit at Sharjah? The chicken lasagna was some thing like that and came just in time to salvage what ever the sandwich had let me down on. It was sooper awesome. The portions were great and no kanjoosi with the chicken. And honey, garlic bread is not ‘modern bread’ toasted with butter with a garlic essence. It’s a wholesome piece of bread by itself. Anyways, it was good and nicely priced at Rs. 125. If you go for the combo you get some more stuff @ Rs. 150/-
If any of you want to ‘get lost’ and don’t want to be seen, this is the place. Catch up with all the magazines, listen to some music and generally laze. Am a bit confused with the rating.. between 3 and 4 is what I would say. I don’t wanna give 4 coz at that price the sandwich was lousy, how ever the lasagna deserved a 5. So I’ll be good and give it a 4.
Oh, yours truly could not resist giving the owner a few tips on what menu should be like “Lebanese and Arabic would be exotic” said me. “Oh thanks, we’ll keep that in mind”.

hm mm....Aug 14th on my b day after college my friends and i were planning 4 sometime out! i heard about JC's Cafe from my uncle but had no clue where it actually was. friends were talking about so many other places but i forced them here. They were grumbling "this better be good". Me and my friends were shocked when we entered in! The place was calm and the room where we were in had Billy Graham's posters and detail about him and passion of Christ booklet on the table! i asked them 4 hillsong video and they played Blessed!!!!
felt so peaceful and safe.....yea safe exactly,we had good time. The food was awesome......brownie wit ice cream, chicken sandwich and loads of other stuff.......tasted so good.all of us were so satisfied wit the food and my frdz hugged and thanked me for taking them there[lol].......it was awesome fun!!! felt like home!the bill to my surprise was quite less compared to the satisfaction, sense of belonging and food.
the best part was the promise card! As we payed de bill we received promise card!!!
All the more i had the best of time on my B day and JC's cafe made it so special
