Well, I went there seeing rave reviews here about the restaurant here on burp! But I guess they are old and now the joint is no longer the same place. So I made it a point to come back and write a realistic up to date review.
The restaurant feels calm, cosy and dimly lit to my taste. It is expensive. A person would easily spend up to Rs.600 on a decent lunch/dinner.
Now the bad part. The food quality isnt great. Actually me being an italian cusine fan and having eaten real italian food by real italian chefs can't really agree to the taste of the food they serve. Just the menu names are exotic but the food doesnt live upto it!
The service? Not really good or fast. But they served me my bill before I could even order my desert! I wouldn;t recommend this place.

The service is bad, Ambience is ok and the food average..
I read the reviews saying that its an amazing italian restaurant
but sorry friends the food was average..probably the reviewer never tried Little italy , anyways to warn you all the service is poor and the food is only average, only thing that was good was the soup.
Ambience is also not upto the mark , and I hardly found any customers coming. still we were ot attended properly and had an overall average experience.
I would not suggest people to go there and waste their money.

I always turn away invitations to "vegetarian" joints unless its good old south indian restaurants but was dragged into Osteria. It was worth the wrist twist, with a menu that screams " great food" The service was friendly and the ambience great. I would just go back for the complimentary soft as heaven garlic bread. The lasagna was a little too tomatoey for my taste but was amply compensated but the superb Ravioli in lemon butter sauce. The starters were also great, the soup (mushroom) though fresh was a little too rich and bland. But overall it is a 100 times better than the so called italian joints in the city that give you tasteless processed cheese filled sawdust pasta. And to balance out the absence of non veg goodies is a great wine and cocktail list.

From Mumbai, I travel to Chennai for work regularly. After eating some great idli/dosa for 2 days straight, my colleagues brought me to this restaurant for Dinner one night and i absolutely loved it. This refreshing restaurant has the best pastas I have had in a very long time. I was surprised as to how reasonable the prices were compared to bombay. Aside from the food i really liked the ambience. Great place for a date, too bad i was stuck with work colleagues. Will go there every time i am in Chennai

This amazing Italian Restaurant in Deccan Plaza excels in ambience, food, service in nearly every aspect. The moment u enter into the restaurant you can get the Italian feel. The waiters are very courteous and helpful. Being a first timer, the recommendations they gave were very nice. Esp. the starter-verdure, pasta-penne arabiatta, risotto , and tiramusu.
All were excellent. So i give a thumbs up to this restaurant even though it may be a little heavy on the wallet
