Poor service & cold food

I had visited the restaurant on the 13th august 2008 evening around 1930 and the reservation was done in my friends name Mr.Gopi for 7 persons and we were seated at Table No:11.

It was a total disappointment for my family ( we had already been there twice b4) and my friends family.

The kebabs served were cold and the service was pathetic and delayed. I walked twice for my 2 drinks to the bar to remind.

The vegetarians had to go home empty stomach aas there is nothing at all except for thai potatoes fat and stupid and the usual panneer and the mushrooms. Has to have some variety for sure.

The water and the kebab fillings were delayed every time and was only done after a couple of reminders and calling out to them constantly and polite reminders.

The Bill also took its own time to arrive.

Bad experience and I will not recommend it to anyone in future.

The supervisors walk around as if they are on a fitness walk just looking around and not actually looking at the table or the plates nor any enquiries to the customer.

The buffet has to undergo a complete change as it is very boring and hardly anything to cry home about.

The cost of Rs.450/- is robbery and is a total waste.
Its worth is only around Rs.250 - 300/ nett.

Change or you will be changed by all the customers out there.

RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!

and this aint even a three star hotel! Nobody has ever heard of Shri Devi Park Hotel until Bbq Nation sprang up with this innovative concept which attracted the typical wannabe crowd of the city .. so its undeniably happening.. that explains the pricing and the careless service. I wish they bought the waiters a mic and some confidence before they start work.

The ambiance is quite different, of course the starters being grilled on the table is part of it! But seriously, the kebabs are already cooked and ur actual kidding urself tryin to burnt it further on ur table! I felt like playing 'kitchen kitchen' when i was five! Vegetarians PLZ STAY AWAY, dont get carried away by reviews written by ppl who have probably ate in the Bangalore bbq! Theres nothing in the starters for veggies except for the usual paneer crap u can find anywhere and Thai baby potatoes which was not bad (big let down).

The chicken (Singapore style) and the prawns were edible. The stuff that actually tasted good was the ones that were directly served on the plate, viz the crispy babycorn was sooooo yummy and the fish in oyster sauce was great too. Since we were advised to spend a lot of time with the starters, we were ready for more disappointment in the buffet.

The buffet was just the usual. The veg biryani which was recommended wasn't there to be seen. There was the usual gravies, Chinese stuff, noodles, curd rice, etc. naan was served on the table and the dal was actually really good, compared to the bland taste of the rest. The desserts were average, esp the mini-jamun with ice cream and the butterscotch something. Nothing else was worth remembering. The bar menu was extensive and had everything from around the world, which is quite amazing for such a place. But be ready to spend a fortune if you want to have a good drink. They have some innovative cocktails, the masala margarita was good with chaat masala on the rim! NO! there is no complimentary drink with the buffet as falsely reviewed by many all over the internet!

As such, the buffet costs u around 450 including tax, if u planning to add anymore than that, carry ur mastercard! But if i had a lota money to blow, i wud choose much much better places in the city, than being blinded by mere hype!

Mediocrity - thy name is BBQ Nation

Everyone keeps screaming about the concept and how good it is, but the concept is just as good as the service and the food.
When the place opened, I had nothing to complain of, but in just a few weeks, things seem to have drastically turned off in BBQ Nation.
Reservations are recommended even on week nights here and that is exactly what we did on a friend's birthday, reserved a table for ten and showed up about ten minutes late, thankfully, the table had been held back for us.
We settled in and they started with the starters - vegetarian separately and non-veg for the others.
If you are a vegetarian at BBQ, you are in the wrong place, it is obviously meant for the meat lovers, but what happens when you discover some hair in the chicken?
That is exactly what happened and on complaining, the waiter actually tried arguing with us on possible replacement of all the chicken starters for that grill - he thought if he just pulled out the hair and left the meat, it would be fine!
A fine kettle it was there and they had to be told that we expected them to replace all of it!
The food was not great, definitely very very passable and the buffet dinner again was just mediocre.
Mediocrity could be their middle name in fact, but the charges they lay on are atrocious.
Recommended only if you want to try a different theme and are too hungry to notice the rubbery taste of the food served.

Great idea, great place

Off the beaten track, a buffet worth every bite! A variety of grills to start off and a good dessert! Its the starters that sets you rolling on the food, and easily one of the better buffets in the city. If RT buffet was known for its desserts, I will vouch for the starters here soon getting all the crownd in here! If you are a vegetarian, the main course doesn't hold much unfortunately though. The Veg Biryani is better than most other places and the fact that the buffet comes with a drink (you can choose between cocktails or mocktails) makes it real value for the money. Desserts are also great, in both variety and quality. The kind of peppy, hustle-bustle ambience of the place and the happening music are quite different and make this place stand out from most other places, which prefer to stay quiet or have softer melodies playing in the background. All in all, a must visit!

Great food,good service...

These guys have chosen a great location ....with the opening up of the world's largest jewellery showroom nearby, they are almost always crowded. I would recommend that you make reservations before you go if you do not want to end up waiting for ages.
That said, their food is really good.....as of now, they only have a buffet for dinner, but there are quite a lot of dishes that line the buffet table. There is a variety of choices for vegetarians too. One of their main attractions is that they let you grill your kebabs on your table with a choice of dressings...well, actually they give you a skewer with veggies that are 90% cooked and you then grill it to your liking. Their crispy chilli potatoes are absolutely delicious. They also offer lots of dessert options on the buffet. Overall, it is definitely a good value for the money that you pay.
