Have visited Ente Keralam 3 times, and the first thought is a comparison to Kumarakom. My rating is a 3 on 5. Reasons are below:
Ambiance:
The decor, ambiance and experience will definitely get a 4 on 5 in my rating scale, the 1 point got knocked off because the chairs were not very comfortable (For me personally)
The staff were very courteous and took time to explain the items on the menu. The sharkara upperi and banana chips was a good touch, and the restaurant was quite, parking not a problem which is a huge relief.
The Food:
have made my way through most of the items on the menu. The appams were extremely nice, and so were the gravys. However the portions were quite abysmal.
At the price point, yes, I might have expected a little more food, but given the size of the dishes, they look deceptively large.
Experience:
Given the taste and the quantity coupled with the price, I might not be visiting this restaurant very often, but might just use it for special occasions.

Well.. We had been planning to visit this place just behind my house for ages and finally, last friday we decided to go there...
What impressed me about the place was the delicious food and excellent service!
The service was quick and efficient... The menu is pretty much the same as any other kerala restaurant.. So we went in for the usuals.
The aapam and chichken stew was brilliant! The aapam was hot and soft and the chicken in the stew was tender! Easily the best stew I had had so far in a restaurant. So was the malabar parotta and chicken coconut curry (Forgot the actual name).
The highlight was the dessert... They had 2 different flavors of ice cream and we tried them - jackfruit and elaneer (tender coconut). Both of them were really good. But the elaneer ice cream was tastier. The taste felt fresh and extremely nice! Along with the ice creams, we had also ordered pal aada payasam and paruppu payasam. They were also very delicious!
Overall, the place is extremely good. The quality of the food is top notch. Its a bit over priced though. But the taste and service make up for it.. Kudos to the team!

They serve a good payasam. Well, you can make that home, if you are a mallu. But if you are not, and you crave for it, this is a place to go. Also carry your mastercard, cause the bill falls in the priceless category.
I mean.... expensive.
I remember the appam and stew (or ishtu), the fish fry and the payasam. But then again, nothing was monumental to think about returning soon. It would be nice for a grand occasion, where you need a nice ambiance and are willing to spend the money.

The food is average and its priced way too high for the quantity they serve.
These guys should understand that Mallu food becomes complete only when they add this affordability factor.
We'll eat our Beef in Nair Mess or other joints
Thankyouverymuch
