Awful, Don't

I would never eat at this place again. The food portion is very small and service is poor. We had a sour cucumber so we asked him to change the dish. The waiter refused and it is all the same.

None of the three dishes we ordered were filling nor good.

The concept seem to be nice, with decent interiors but oh boy! they forgot about good food and service!

Never Again

This is by far the worst place that I've been to.....We ordered tea, a fresh juice and an ice-cream and all three turned out to be unpalatable. I mean, how can anyone possibly make bad icecream??? I took one sip of my juice, and then just left it unfinished. I wonder if they even know what the concoctions that they put on the table taste like !!!

Cool enough

I just checked out this place for lunch today. I didnt really get to eat much cos the service is so slow! It took them some 40 minutes to bring a salad and so i decided to skip my sandwich. I ordered for a bistro caesar salad which was nothing special. I assume the Tuscan sandwich eggplant zucchini and roasted tomato was good from the conversation i cud over hear from the next booth. Otherwise the place was pretty empty I guess it is not so popular yet. I have to go back to try the sandwiches and the geleto ofcourse. The ambiance is really nice but it is more like a fine dining place than a cafe, anyway its pretty decent and waiters are trying hard i shud say! They were asing for feedback on the service and food.. well i should say improve your speed I almost wanted to get up and leave before my food arrived. I will get back on the rest after i try it again for sure!

Low-calorie, yummy & innovative

I happened to stroll into this new store called "cool nature" at Ispahani Centre (I floor). An all-vegetarian outlet specializing in salads, sandwiches and gelato.

I tried the Grilled Veg sandwich - the crunchiness, texture and flavours of the various grilled veggies and the pesto was yummy. My friend tried the Asian salad and kept asking for more of the home-style vinaigrette! The beverages were awesome, too, with a spread on the menu unlike any I've seen in Chennai. I tried the Cucumber-Chilly-Cleanser while my friend went with the Apple-Ginger-Cooler! Sure to be hits during the sweltering summer.

But, now for the coolest part - they have the "cold stone" for the first time in Chennai (which I was told was only the third in India). The "cold stone" is an imported Italian machine with a granite counter refrigerated to -20 degrees Celsius, allowing ice cream to be mixed with garnishes and syrups without melting! For those well travelled, the cold stone should be nothing new - it is regularly available in the US and other countries. But for most vistors at the store, it seemed quite a novelty to see the guy mixing gelato with two spades (a la paav bhaji!) with toppings, and to good result. Another novel item was that, he was pouring molten hot (dark and white) chocolate on the frozen stone and moulding shapes as the chocolate was hardening. One customer even paid to have his sundae served in a bowl made of chocolate!

And, I must say, I was impressed with a decent range of garnishes (brownies, Gems, Kit Kat, choco cereal, nuts, fruits, ...) & syrups (kiwi, black currant, strawberry, litchi, butterscotch, chocolate, mango, ... yumm!). The gelato was awesome - better than I've had in most other gelato places. The best part is you can sample the exotic flavours before ordering. I tried chocolate cream with cocoa, hazelnut-chocolate candy, cheesecake with strawberry crush before settling on the Cookies flavour with actual cookie crunch in the gelato!

The ambience is quite contemporary and fresh. Free Wi-Fi, too! The service was good, though it can get better.

The price was not too bad either - starting from Rs. 49 for salads, sandwiches and gelato. Good place to lounge...
