The perfect destination when it comes good Chinese food. The menu might be the same everywhere but it is done tastefully. The dim sums are exquisite. The appetizers are very appealing and the spread is great. There are a number of options for vegetarians as well. The best being crispy chilli corn, crispy fried vegetable in konjeenaro style and Tai Pei cauliflower. Crackling spinach without doubt is superb. Non-vegetarians have to try spicy prawns in Hunan style, barbeque fish and chicken drumstick. The soups are great too. The eight treasure vegetable soup and peppery lemon soup are like the chef's special. The main course variety is large. Chicken schzewan noodles, clay pot fried rice and fried rice in lotus leaf is out of the world. It goes best with spicy chicken in XO sauce or exotic Chinese vegetables in chilli sesame sauce. The deserts and the mocktails are pretty much the same in all Chinese restaurants but the Darsaan in Mainland china is amazing. The price may seem to be on the higher side but it is worth every penny. The service is great and the waiters are patient and friendly. The Maitre-Ds make you feel at home. Mainland China is a place you shouldn't miss.

The best thing about Mainland China is
1. The menu is almost same in every city
2. The serving and the taste is also same across the city
3. The result is, you know what you ordered and what is going to be served.
Among the different MainLand I visited, those are Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and the Chennai one; among them I think Chennai is the most affordable.
Though one burrper mentioned about the high-price, I would request to compare with the price you pay for the Sakinaka Mainland China...it's damn cheap.
In Chennai, you compare with Cascade...you will agree MLC is just value for money with a decent ambiance.
The food is excellent; though it's not Chinese (this comment is made after my visit to China and after tasting at least 300 odd Chinese foods).

Just another Chinese place with $$$ priced menu card. The cocktails are great and strong. But be ready to be in for a shock in the end when the check arrives. If you wanna eat the usual Chinese i would rather advice you to go to Noodle House or Wang's kitchen, but if you wanna impress your date, Main Land China could be the choice. The place is quite crowded

Always a pleasant experience if you can ignore the parking hazzels. Book your table in advance. There can be wait, even tho' the place is huge.
Here is some of the review on the food from my blog....
"I am not so sure where to start. The starters, cripy spinach and fried corn are my favourites. There is of course the usual spring rolls and drumsticks and the unusual. In the main course, the pick is really just about anything. I have tasted a few of the chicken and veg dishes, and each one is unique and tastes great. The noodles, is one of the best i have tasted. I usually dont like noodles, but this place i recently took some, and it was awesome. I need to try somemore, the next time.
But before i finish i must talk about daarsaan and date pancake, the desserts. Each of these with ice-cream is the reason to save some space at the end of the meal."
