The hotel is absolutely stunning and reeks of grandeur. If not dining, one must atleast make a visit to the hotel just to experience the luxury and grace of the architecture. They have a unique interiors and the ambience is just like any other coffee shop crowded mostly with friends and couples. The food is good and the price is worth the food and the time one can spend there. The chocolate explosion and lemon tea is my favourite. I would give anything to get my hands on the Chocolate explosion. The service is really good and the people who wait the tables are really friendly and courteous.
The ambience is good and the place is well ventilated and air conditioned. The food is decent and the price is worth the quality, The gulab jamuns and rasamalais and Rose milk is what I would take every time I visit the place. The place is not where someone could properly dine in. Walk in, eat, pay and walk out.

The place has an open air seating arrangement and is best suited for couples or people who want to have a quiet conversation. The food is very good and the cost is very cheap. They also have a AC room too. The place is buzzing with people in the weekends.
I had been to Adyar HOC once during a soccer match and it was a very very memorable experience. Atmosphere was serene until the soccer match started.. And I was quite satisfied with the service overall.. Nice hangout..
I went to see Iron Man 3 in 3d last Thursday with my friends. The movie was amazing but unfortunately I was disappointed yet again that another movie theater didn't bother to provide a ramp for easy access to the customers in wheelchair. A person like me in a wheelchair has to be carried up a flight of stairs inside the theater. I expected a premier entertainment company like PVR to be more responsible and socially sensitive. I hope they read this review and address this issue so that the physically challenged people can come and enjoy a good movie.
