    One of the first few pure veg restaurants to hit chennai, Eden instantly became a family favorite. Given an opportunity to head out, we would go straight to Eden. The first few times had us visiting the besant nagar branch and subsequently we have been frequenting the one in Hotel Harrisons.

    The order is quite fixed, pumpkin soup, mushroom on toast or bharwan paneer.     Having wanted to try this place for a while, I visited this place with my family a week before for dinner. The restaurant was on the first floor and had a valet parking to my surprise and was sparsely populated when we stepped in.

    Now let me come to the food,
    Soups:To our surprise, the Nandu Rasam and Nenjelumbu Rasam were mere spicy masala stalks of Crab and Mutton and never had a hint of any crab meat or mutton in it.

    Thanks to burrp! and Costa I had a gift voucher and a friend and I dropped by the Harrington Road outlet of this famous cafe. We were warmly welcomed implicitly by the shop as such. The ambiance is pleasant and the outlet is nicely airconditioned.

    What strikes you first is the umbrella-ed seats outside for people who like natural ambiance. Although the time we went there was a bit pleasant we chose to stay indoors.     The buffet here is priced at just 120 bucks and it is brilliant. Unlimited of course.
    Though they have only limited dishes, the food is really good. Wish they add more dishes or at least variety.

    A lassi after the buffet is enough to make you content. But you have to pay an extra 30 for the Lassi!

    Can't sleep without writing a few words. I booked a buffet for 38 people for today last Wednesday and they collected an advance on Friday saying they were cheated by some customers. After giving the advance only I saw some remarkable bad comments on Burrp. To be frank I went there thinking I lost my money, but to my relief I didn't see any flies or mosquitoes there( I saved my face as i.was the 1 who booked this place after seeing an ad near Chennai One).     The archaic flooring gives you a tinge of nostalgia.
    The ambiance is the highlight. The outdoor area is just for the couples. A seemingly romantic place for them to spend some time.

    The food is very expensive.

    The place has been there for so many years and the quality has seldom reduced. The food is really good especially the idli sambar, vada and the filter coffee.

    The ambiance is not that great but the food and the prices compensate for that.
    The service is a little bit bad though.

    The ambiance is very good and the service is even better. I really love the way they serve. The vathakuzhambu rice with ghee and aloo is just mind blowing! The food is so delicious but a bit overpriced. Totally worth the food though!

    The curd rice and mango is also a highlight!
