Saravana Bhavan Duplicate

Yeah, being near to this place, I used to visit here frequently.. Apoorva's Sangeetha is a South Indian joint where you can get some chat items, chettinad items, tandoor varieties.

Ambience : Crowded, untidy & staff unfriendly.. A/c option is sort of okay..

Service : Very Poor Customer Service..

Quality of Food : South Indian (Okay), other varities (Rubbish)

They price their items similar to saravana bhavan, and the quality is not comparable with HSB. The quality of south indian items are okay, but other items which they offer are rubbish.. Their 80 bucks for a Punjabi thali is not worth it..

I added this place only to write negative comments about this place.. I had never been happy walking out of this place.. I had an instance wherein a cockroach of a medium size was found in the Sambhar Rice, when I asked the staff, they never bothered to listen and just wanted to change the bowl on which it was served..

My recommendation : Please avoid going to such places, don’t mind spending more money & getting food of better quality..

Quality comes with a price..

Annalakshmi is one of my favorite food spots in the world.. Their food quality is damn amazing, their concept is awesome and the friendliness of staff is unbelievable. But watch out on your wallet, they are close to the most expensive.

But if you are not worried about the cost, and open to this kinda stuff try this out.

What they serve here is not a meal!! Its a F E A S T!!! I hope you get the difference.. Its a revolving menu, and as the other reviewer has written, I had never experienced frustration in this joint in particular.

They are so special in south indian vegetarian dishes. Whatever I had here, I just loved it.. Almost every dish I got here became my favorite..

So no worries.. Check this spot..

Quality Food.. Exorbidant price..

I was fascinated by the food I had here the first time almost 4 or 5 years back. From then I have been a frequent visitor to this place, I had even been in Mumbai to the same joint.

My favorite dish here is Malai Kulfi.. Its yummy.. I never had anything close to the same elsewhere..

Their food quality is close to excellent.. Their ambience is fantastic.. Staff are very friendly and treatment is neat..

But if you expect a single meal for 500 bucks, u will love this place..

Good Old Place.. But New prices..

Ratna Café, Triplicane has been around for the last 3 to 4 generations. My mom’s generation used to find the place to be a nice food point.. But currently its not the same Ratna Café..

It was said to be very famous for the way they serve sambar for 2 idlis.. They serve sambar in a big Jug for 2 idlis.. And the taste also used to be very good..
Still the taste of food esp (idli+sambar) is phenomenal. “Overall Quality” to an extent is intact here..

But since it is famous and now that there is a lot of IT Crowd with hefty wallets, these guys have taken advantage and conveniently changed the price structure catering to this crowd..

Ambience, if you are looking for ambience, this is not the place to look for.. Always crowded, cramped chairs are a feature of this place.. Cleanliness is fair..

The staff are not very friendly & professional, but they are able to manage the crowd..
