Awful

Just another Diner!!

The name cream center might give you a hint of an ice cream parlor but you are mistaken. It is a New Yorker replica. To begin with the menu, there is not a simple healthy option in it. All you can find is cheese. The soups are the same old boring ones. The nachos are not even close to being authentic. The bean sauce is like the normal Rajma made at home. The cheese sauce is good but gets cloying after awhile and where is the sour cream? I find it ridiculous that they serve sizzlers as appetizers. To make things worse the quantity of rice served along with it is so petite. I doubt if cream center's customers want to maintain a size 0. The same old onion rings, fries, capsicum rings, cheese balls (which is never available) it seems like a complete cliché. Coming to the pastas. I had the experience of trying the world's worst arrabiatta sauce. They should have named it marinara sauce. I guess the chef is not really aware of the difference. The white sauce is just as boring as everything else. The paneer paratas are truly terrible. And if you have a dying wish please do try the channa battura. The main course sizzlers are bearable but don't try any of the Lebanese or the Mexican ones. The desserts are okay but not great. The service is decent. The only thing nice about the place is the pretty good ambience. And ya not to forget, the prices are exorbitant. Not a multi-cuisine that I would personally recommend.

Awful

Beware!

"Decent Food, Horrible Maintenance!"
The Breakfast part of the menu is small. There are no choices for vegetarians. All you can find is bacon. The cheese omelet is worth trying tough. Their drinks are pretty good. But you might spend most of your time trying to get flies away from your food. I don’t remember the last time they cleaned all the tables. The waiters don't bother to take the order. You might have to beg them to visit your table occasionally. The appetizers are decent. If you are expecting spicy food you have stepped into the wrong place. Their chicken and the normal vegetarian dishes have the same gravy served in the same gravy boat. Don’t fall for the comments below every name. There are much better places in Chennai you can try!

Good

Mediterranean food at its best!

The best place for all Lebanese food lovers. On a personal note, the names might be a little weird but they are all worth trying. Always ask the waiters to give suggestions the first time. Their Spanish potatoes served with sour cream are out of the world. The platter is something that u have to try. The dips are jus amazing and you get the world's softest peta bread there. The portions are very small though. Their pizzas are just amazing with a very innovative variety of toppings and the pizza bread is very fresh. Their risotto is something that you will kill for and their ratatouille is made to perfection with the right amount of parmesan reggiano. The chicken shawarma is top notch. They have a number of interesting mocktails. The place is a little expensive but totally worth it. They are very popular for their wide spread Sunday brunch. Its a mix of continental, American and Lebanese food. Its a must try. The deserts are a great so don't miss the biscotti covered with chocolate sauce served with strawberry syrup.

Awful

Waste of money!

The restaurant just has the name, as its a part of ITC but there is something missing. The menu is exceptionally small. To begin with their appetizers their crispy fried vegetable in green chillies and their spicy chicken in chilli garlic sauce are made the same way. The food is bland and not very interesting. The main course spread is very much similar to other small restaurants and there is nothing innovative or new in the menu. The food is either salty or is floating on sesame oil (my greatest experience). The only nice thing about Shanghai Club is that the service is great. The waiters are friendly in contrary to that; the Maitre-De is exceptionally cold.

Excellent

Worth every penny

The perfect destination when it comes good Chinese food. The menu might be the same everywhere but it is done tastefully. The dim sums are exquisite. The appetizers are very appealing and the spread is great. There are a number of options for vegetarians as well. The best being crispy chilli corn, crispy fried vegetable in konjeenaro style and Tai Pei cauliflower. Crackling spinach without doubt is superb. Non-vegetarians have to try spicy prawns in Hunan style, barbeque fish and chicken drumstick. The soups are great too. The eight treasure vegetable soup and peppery lemon soup are like the chef's special. The main course variety is large. Chicken schzewan noodles, clay pot fried rice and fried rice in lotus leaf is out of the world. It goes best with spicy chicken in XO sauce or exotic Chinese vegetables in chilli sesame sauce. The deserts and the mocktails are pretty much the same in all Chinese restaurants but the Darsaan in Mainland china is amazing. The price may seem to be on the higher side but it is worth every penny. The service is great and the waiters are patient and friendly. The Maitre-Ds make you feel at home. Mainland China is a place you shouldn't miss.
