It's Mai Be, btw.

If any of my friends knew I am actually reviewing this place, I'd have none left. Mae B used to be one of those great places where you go, when you're poor and step out feeling full and refreshingly surprised. This was about, 2 years back.
Then, the owner got sick of our happy, shiny faces and 'renovated' the place (looks the same to me, honestly), but, yes. The chicken paprika sandwich shot into the 3 digit price range. So, I tried to 'economise' (read- be cheap) and stick to the iced teas, and lime waters for meals. Then, those shot into the 50 rupees range, as well. (i might be off, here. the last three times i was there, i just walked off. fled without paying, to be more precise)

I am a sucker for a good chicken stroganoff, and I'll admit that this place has a decent one. But. More than once, the waiter, and owner tried to pass off some cold, and suspicious looking meat as chicken.
I will not eat, what looks like badly cooked dog meat just because it's referred to, as chicken.
I didn't pay for that burger, btw. Now, all my friends' food almost always taste like spit! XD

The point being. Mae B (refer to the title) used to be a nice little hangout place for the broke, college kids we used to be. And, good food somehow tastes better when it's cheap. Now, the food's okay. The prices- not worth it.

Also. The waiters almost always look happy. And that, almost alway scares me.
