pure cafe
This is how a cake shop should look to start with. The aesthetics, ambiance and the sweets look a feast to eyes; the duplex isn't really that impressive and if you ask me, I'd say there are no sweets on display there! Well, I am old enough to not think about sweets and drool over but at this place, the very sight of mousses, pastries, cakes gets me drooling. Someday, I might just get the S5 IS and click and keep.
Anything chocolate is good by default! Most of what they serve is the best that you can get in Chennai (the Chennai that I have tried that is). This certainly is the place for all pastry lovers, for all chocolate decorated, cocoa coated sweets.
The staff of this place are great too! They only serve and ONLY serve unlike a lot of other people in other places. They help you see through your choices also.
Because of all these, you'd find people throwing parties on any given day. Don't ask for peace here, this place is not for that. This place is for what it has been named (not the chariot, please!) as

Okay! This is purely my ignorance that I didn't know about Cream Centre.
A friend introduced me to this place. He said Cream Centre. I said what? At dinner time, Cream Centre? You've got to be kidding me-I need proper food. He laughed at me and said this is a proper dining place. Whoa! Cream Centre? Dining Place? Hmmm! Ice cream should be what they would be focussing on, I assume. I just had too many things on my mind.
Even from outside, as I saw, it WAS infact looking like an ice cream outlet. I had to wait and I waited.
Entering the place, the place made me change ideas. The menu wasn't very helpful for me to decide what I really wanted and the waiters were even worse in explaining to me what each of the dishes really was. My friend finally resolved to ordering Veg Noodles Sizzler and I just had to follow that blindly. When we were served with what we had ordered, boyyo! This is a damn good place. Drinks amaze me even more. Lovely. Everything that is food and drinks is more than what you can really expect.
Let down-From the name, how it appears to the passerby on the main road to the waiters/bearers everything that doesn't sound food is a let down. You wouldn't go there if you hadn't tasted their food or if you weren't told by someone about them, would you? I hadn't!
I don't know! As long as I get that tasty and great food, I really don't mind!

All about ambience
As I entered, the place just blew me! Rainforest has one of the best auras you'll ever get to see. Everything just builds up. Innovative, done!
Ambience: Nothing to beat this place!
The service was up to the mark. I really expected a very good service from the folks and i felt that I was let down somewhere. But, while I was there, I never really felt the dearth.
Service: decent
The most important aspect-food-was not upto the mark! None of the dishes that I tasted was tasty enough for me to eye them wolfishly. I, infact, had to settle with I want no more, I am done etc. Food is a complete let down.
Food: Nothing great!
Overall: when you really are looking forward to having a great hog, this is not at all the place. Take your partner for a romantic little dinner date here and you can have the best time! Otherwise, the foodie you will die of shame and your eyes will have a feast instead.
